School Service Hours Program

Some of the activities or events require that the volunteer be in compliance with Archdiocesan Child Protection Policies (attendance at Virtus workshop & completion of application and background checks). For information about the Child Protection Policy requirements visit our ADW Child Protection Policy page.
The Saint Peter’s School Service Program helps build community, strengthens parent involvement and commitment to the school, and reduces auxiliary expenses so funds can be focused on programs and materials that directly benefit students. As part of the School Service Program, each family is required to donate a minimum of 15 hours of service to the school each year. Please report all completed service hours as soon as possible but not later than April 15, 2020. The 15 service hour commitment is an obligation like the payment of tuition. Families must track their hours in the on-line database (access via link on school website). In late May, any unfulfilled service hours are billed at a rate of $50 per hour. The service obligation can be fulfilled in many ways; descriptions are provided below. From time to time throughout the school year, additional opportunities may be publicized in the school weekly newsletter. Note: Parish activities such as Athletics, Scouts, Christmas Bazaar, etc. do not fulfill the SCHOOL service hours requirement. Donations of purchased items such as baked goods, paper products for parties, etc. cannot be used to fulfill service hours. Reimbursement (with receipt) for purchased items will be provided by the event chair, head room parent or school office.
  • When you have completed your service hours for an event or program, please log them in on the Volunteer Website (see link on school website under LINKS).
  • Events/Activities listed below take place at the school unless otherwise noted
  • If you have any questions, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator
