ADW Child Protection Policy
Saint Peter’s School value parents who are committed to participation in our school’s programs and events. Parent volunteers are vital to the success of many of the programs that make our school and its students so successful and we invite you to get involved. There are many ways to share your time and talents. Monitoring students at recess and delivering hot lunch, helping students in the Library or Computer Lab, chaperoning field trips, or helping teachers and students in the classrooms are just a few of the volunteer opportunities that are available to parents. Information about these and other opportunities will be provided to you.
Many of our school’s volunteer programs involve adults working with/around children. Adults who have substantial contact with children are required to be in full compliance with the requirements of the Archdiocese of Washington Child Protection Policy (CPP). Please click here to view all of the information related to fulfilling the CPP requirements.
Note: the application must be completed and returned to school and an account created in the VIRTUS database, www.virtusonline.org, prior to scheduling a fingerprint appointment.
We hope this is the beginning of a long partnership between Saint Peter’s and your family. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with our community. And, most importantly, thank you for your support of the Child Protection Policy that protects all our children.
