Celebrating the Christmas SeasoN

The school community kicked off the holiday season on December 8 with the annual Christmas tree lighting and Christmas Light Tour

Saint Peter's School partnered with St. Ann's Center for Children, Youth, and Families, in Hyattsville, Maryland to collect Christmas gifts for the 16 families, including 20 children who currently live there. St. Ann's provides homes for women and children and helps them to overcome crisis and achieve independence and stability. Our school community was blessed to have the joy of giving back to our community and helping to provide the St. Ann’s families a very Merry Christmas this year

​A special guest delighted the crowd with a surprise appearance at the Christmas Tree Lighting.

On January 5, Father Raymond, Father Magro, and several fifth grade students led a procession to celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany. They visited each classroom for a special blessing and to “chalk” each door. Students wrote down the gifts they would be working to give Jesus this year and gave them to our visitors to add to their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
